We are a University Research Centre involved in the Diagnosis and Therapy of Neuromuscular, Neurodegenerative e Cerebrovascular Diseases: Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Lateral Amiotrophic Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s Desease, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Ictus and Brain Haemorrhages.
“Centro Dino Ferrari“, at the University of Milan, was founded in 1978 by Prof. Guglielmo Scarlato and engineer Enzo Ferrari, situated in the Clinical Neurology Institute at the University Polyclinic of Milan.
Internationally recognised for its research and diagnostic activities in the diagnosis of muscular , neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases, the Centre was dedicated by Enzo Ferrari to the memory of his son Dino who was affected my muscular dystrophy
The scientific director is Prof. Nereo Bresolin, who works with his Scientific Board.
Thanks to the help of the Associazione Amici del “Centro Dino Ferrari”, started in 1984, the Centre has been able to enlarge its research team and laboratories dedicated to diagnostic research. Providing state of the art equipment and establishing grants, which allow young researchers to visit the most highly qualified institutes throughout Europe and the North America
The work of financing and promoting, carried out by the association, continues with passion and energy today, to encourage the transformation of clinical research into becoming medical care.
